According to the Public Relations Office of the RWT Company, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, a meeting was held at the office of the Director General of the Southern Railway with the aim of discussing the transportation of cargo for Shadegan Steel Company in Khuzestan. The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Southern Railway, representatives of Shadegan Steel Company, the CEO and Deputy CEO of the RWT Company, as well as several CEOs of companies active in the transportation of mineral and mining materials.
Mr. Hassan Sedighi, CEO of the RWT Company, stated that based on Shadegan Steel Company's production plan for the current year, the company requires between 1.2 and 1.4 million tons of iron ore pellets. In addition to expressing its readiness to transport the company's cargo, the RWT Company proposed the installation of unloading facilities and cooperation in multimodal transportation operations.
He further added that, thanks to its logistics capabilities and highly skilled workforce, the RWT Company has sufficient capacity to transport all types of mineral products from all freight origins connected to the national railway network or located within 200 kilometers of it. By providing reliable services, operational efficiency, and competitive transportation rates, the company has consistently earned the trust of its customers.
During the meeting, Eng. Masouri, Deputy Director of Domestic Transportation at the RWT Company, emphasized the continuation of negotiations regarding the preparation and installation of unloading facilities on the Mahidasht railway line. He noted that, if the company is selected through the tender process and both parties reach an agreement, the RWT Company is fully prepared to provide multimodal transportation services for Shadegan Steel Company's cargo.
