RWT Company Operates the First Belarus–Iran Transit Freight Train

According to the Public Relations Office of the RWT Company, the company has successfully dispatched the first transit container train via the eastern branch of the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC).

Dr. Hassan Sedighi, CEO of the RWT Company, announced that the container train, operated in two separate sections and carrying commercial cargo belonging to international traders, was loaded in Belarus for onward shipment to China. The train entered Iran through the Incheh Borun rail border crossing before continuing its journey across the country.

The shipment will ultimately reach China via Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, where the cargo will be transferred for maritime transportation to its final destination.

Dr. Sedighi emphasized that this marks the first time transit cargo originating from Belarus has been transported through Iran's railway network to international destinations. He expressed confidence that, by focusing on target markets across the CIS region, strengthening economic diplomacy, and implementing incentive mechanisms, Iran can attract a larger share of regional transit traffic to its railway network and witness significant growth in freight volumes along the International North–South Transport Corridor.

He concluded by stating that this achievement reflects the RWT Company's commitment to expanding transit capacity, strengthening Iran's position in international freight transportation, and maximizing the strategic potential of the North–South Corridor. The operation was successfully carried out in cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran RAI.
