Sirjan Wheel and Axle Repair Plant of Pars Railway Maintenance Company Officially Opened

According to the International Affairs and Public Relations Department of RWT Company, coinciding with the auspicious celebrations of the birth anniversaries of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (AS), the opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nasiri, Director General of Hormozgan Railway and his deputies, managers and officials of Sirjan Railway Station, Sirjan Railway Police representatives, Dr. Sedighi, CEO of the company, as well as managers and technical personnel of Railway Transportation Company and Pars Railway Maintenance Company.

The facility was established through the investment of Railway Transportation Company (RWT) and the dedicated efforts, innovation, and commitment of the Board of Directors, the Sirjan Plant Manager, and the technical staff. The project aims to increase railway fleet maintenance capacity in Sirjan and strengthen maintenance capabilities in the region.

As part of the development program, the Sirjan facility expanded its infrastructure and equipped a new 576-square-meter workshop with specialized wheel and axle repair equipment, brake system maintenance facilities, and wagon body reconstruction capabilities. In addition, two separate wagon body overhaul lines, welding equipment, forklifts, and other essential maintenance tools were installed, while existing machinery was fully overhauled and upgraded.

With the implementation of this project, the workshop’s major overhaul capacity has increased from 15 to 30 wagons per month, with a future target of reaching 50 wagons per month. By reducing outsourcing and carrying out most maintenance operations on-site, the company expects to lower logistics costs while significantly improving maintenance efficiency and operational productivity.
